Krithika Natarajan is a promising young artiste and a rising star of Carnatic (South Indian Classical) music. Endowed with a melodious voice, her music is fresh, energetic and soulful. She had her initial training from Dr.Manjula Sriram. Later, she had the privilege of getting advanced training from the legendary violin virtuoso Vidwan Sri Lalgudi G Jayaraman. Since 2015, she has been learning under the able guidance of eminent Carnatic musicians, Vidushis Smt. Ranjani and Smt. Gayatri.

She is an A-graded artist of the All India Radio, Chennai and has been performing since the age of 10, in many prestigious venues in India and abroad. As a musician with concert experience spanning over a decade, Krithika's mellifluous renditions are known for bhakthi, bhava and laya, which is highly appreciated and complimented by other musicians and is enjoyed by audiences throughout the world, making her a sought-after musician of the younger clan. Krithika has been regularly featured in leading media publications as well as on popular TV and radio channels. Her concerts have received raving reviews from several popular print media like The Hindu, Times of India, Dinamalar, Ananda Vikatan, etc., Krithika strives to take carnatic music to the next generation through innovative projects, collaborating with her husband and violinist, Rajeev Mukundan.

Performances

Krithika has performed in many leading sabhas in Chennai, including Narada Gana Sabha, Krishna Gana Sabha, Mylapore Fine Arts, Karthik Fine Arts, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, among others. She has travelled across India and performed in various major sabhas all over the country. She has also travelled outside India, on concert tours and has given performances in organizations in the USA and Singapore. She has been a regular feature in the prestigious Cleveland Thyagaraja Utsavam for many years.

Teaching Experience

Besides being a performer, Krithika is a passionate teacher and also trains many students across the globe who are blossoming into competent and knowledgeable musicians and music connoisseurs. She has a unique method of teaching with a modern approach that helps the student develop their own style, yet not compromising on the traditional aspects of the art form. She has also conducted workshops on a variety of topics of Carnatic Music.
